Frequently Asked Questions – Andrew Tunney Photography
At Andrew Tunney Photography, transparency and trust are at the heart of everything I do. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about my services, pricing, and policies. Whether you’re a local Cairns business, a visitor exploring Tropical North Queensland, or planning an event south of Cairns, this page is designed to give you clarity and confidence.
Do you sell to interstate or international customers?
Absolutely. We can ship prints and products anywhere in Australia or overseas. Simply contact us with your requirements and preferred delivery method (courier or postal), and we’ll provide a tailored quote.
Do you sell your photos as NFTs?
No. We do not offer NFTs due to the lack of regulation and security in the cryptocurrency industry.
My focus remains on delivering tangible, high-quality photography products and services you can trust.
Can I license your images for my company or publication?
Yes. Licensing is available for commercial, editorial, and media use.
Contact me with details about the images and intended usage, and we’ll provide a fair licensing fee.
Do you photograph events for NFP organisations at no cost?
Unfortunately, we cannot work for free. Every engagement involves professional equipment valued at over $6,000, insurance coverage, and travel expenses. Our pricing reflects these costs and ensures quality and safety for your event.
Do you travel outside Cairns?
Yes. Locations within 30 km of Cairns CBD incur no travel fee (except ferry transport).
For other destinations, a travel fee applies. Contact us for a quote.
What are the limitations of your drone services?
We comply with CASA regulations:
No flying within 30 m of people
No flying within 5.5 km of controlled airports
Maximum altitude: 120 m
We also avoid wet weather and high winds for safety. Our drone is CASA-registered, and we are accredited operators.
Why are your costs higher than taking photos on a phone?
Professional photography involves public liability insurance, equipment insurance, travel, and years of expertise. Our pricing reflects the value and quality you receive—far beyond what a smartphone can achieve.
Why do your invoices not show GST?
We operate under a Sole Trader ABN and are not registered for GST.
Invoices are regular invoices and cannot include the words “tax invoice,” as per ATO guidelines.
