Story behind the image:
By 2020, I had learnt the signs of a great sunset in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Little did I know that the resulting image on this canvas would be as spectacular as it is. The sky ablaze with swirling cloud from the fiery sunset reflected in floodwater as a crossing on the way to Karumba on the west coast approximately 45 minutes away from Normanton.
